Map of Dawn

Kevin Bradshaw First rate in every conceivable way, and in particular concept, composition, performance and feel. The drums beat big with the bass sitting just right in the pocket. Western guitars reverbed and tremmed out where appropriate. the songs build to dizzyinh heights and are brought down and tied up just right. Favorite track: What We Can See.
nujumi
nujumi thumbnail
nujumi A record full of drama and mood, that weaves, scoops and trembles. Unnerving and invigorating in equal measure, its wonderful to hear a record where a powerful voice does not over shadow the power of the music, but rather works into the rich texture carrying in it narrative of the instrumentation. Favorite track: Games.
Weirdo Shrine
Weirdo Shrine thumbnail
Weirdo Shrine Part Spaghetti Western, part ancient pagan folk rock, part African desert blues, part smokey jazz unit, part 70s prog rock, but mostly Abronia; impossible to pinpoint, but even harder to ignore. On Map Of Dawn they have carved one of the finest examples of modern psychedelic “rock” music I have heard in a while. Music that needs time to creep on you, fill your lungs, and finally completely cloud your head.-Weirdo Shrine Favorite track: Night Hoarders.
